Mitchell Abrams

Mitchell Abrams, CPSM, is currently the Corporate Director of Procurement at Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Inc., starting February 2024. Previously, Mitchell held roles at CertainTeed Corporation from July 2013 to November 2023, including Category Strategy Director, where leadership of the North American Purchasing organization involved managing $200MM in direct spend for multiple manufacturing plants. As Purchasing Manager within the same company, oversight of $400M in annual direct spend occurred. Mitchell also served as Associate Director of Procurement at Sharp Clinical Services from April 2008 to July 2013, managing global purchasing operations in clinical R&D. Prior experience includes roles at Catalent, Cherokee Information Services, MediMedia USA, and R & S Northeast, progressively gaining expertise in procurement, contract negotiation, supply chain management, and team leadership. Mitchell holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Management from Peru State College, along with certifications in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
