Actuarial Research Corporation (ARC) is a privately held corporation with office locations in Annandale, Virginia, and Columbia, Maryland.  ARC is a unique organization encompassing actuarial and health research activities with staff members that are recognized experts in their fields.  Since 1975, ARC has specialized in public sector health financing studies.  The firm has conducted a wide range of research and evaluation studies for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, and other clients, working extensively with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and the Office of the Actuary at CMS, providing expert actuarial analysis, policy evaluation, and support services for health insurance issues.  In addition to developing actuarial techniques, creating projection models and preparing cost estimates, ARC has provided technical expertise, and performed development, monitoring, reconciliation, data and support functions for many demonstration projects under various CMS contracts.
