Alex King is the Founder and CEO of Actuaries OnTap, established in May 2019 to provide tailored advice and support for insurance companies. Prior to this role, Alex served as Managing Director for Pacific Life Re in Asia from August 2004 to May 2019, where responsibilities included leading a team of 100, achieving a 70% growth in new business, and creating a robust business strategy that resulted in USD 1.4 billion of inforce premiums. Alex also held various leadership positions at Pacific Life Re, including Head of Marketing and Head of Protection, playing a pivotal role in transforming the company's market reputation. Earlier in Alex's career, experience as a Manager at HSBC included overseeing new protection product developments and reinsurance negotiations. Alex holds a Fellowship from the Institute of Actuaries and a degree in Mathematics with Actuarial Studies from the University of Southampton.
