Mike Tinmouth has extensive experience in the fields of business, technology, and finance. Mike began their career in 2003 as Development and Facilities Manager at the University of Southampton, where they were a senior manager and member of the SUSU Senior Leadership Team. In 2010, they joined Ariadne Capital as an Editor, where they interacted with entrepreneurs and shared their experiences through a range of in-print, in-person, and online media. In 2012, they became Social Media and Content Director at Geometry Global (WPP) and then Head of Social Media, Content and PR at Azimo. In 2015, they joined Dimension Data as the Group Head of Social and Digital Campaign Channels. In 2018, they started working with PUBLIC as a Mentor and GovStart, helping tech startups transform the public sector. In 2020, they became COO of ACUA Ocean and a Mentor and Lecturer for The Percy Hobart Fellowship.

Mike Tinmouth's education history includes a Matriculation Exemption with Distinction from Westville Boys' High School obtained between 1994 and 1998, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Southampton obtained between 1999 and 2003, an MSc in Risk Management from the University of Southampton obtained between 2007 and 2009, a Public Relations degree from the University of Cape Town obtained in 2015, a Digital Marketing and Social Media Analytics degree from MIT Sloan School of Management obtained in 2016, and a Business Analytics: Decision Making Using Data degree from the University of Cambridge obtained in 2019.

Additionally, Mike Tinmouth holds certifications from various institutions, including the LL3 Business Coaching from The Business Coaching Academy Ltd obtained in October 2016, Certified Business Coach from ILM obtained in September 2016, PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from Project Management Institute obtained in July 2007, and NEBOSH L3 from NEBOSH obtained in August 2005.
