RaviKiran Gopalan has had a long and successful career in wireless design and development. RaviKiran began their career in 2006 as a Student Researcher at Bell Laboratories. In 2007, they moved to Texas Instruments as a Senior System Engineer. In 2008, they joined Qualcomm as a Modem Systems Lead, where they were the hands-on algorithms lead for Qualcomm's connectivity portfolio and led the product design and development team that built Qualcomm's first Bluetooth 5.0 chip. In 2016, they became a Product Manager (Consulting) at Baidu USA. RaviKiran then moved to Asurion in 2017 as the Sr Manager, Product Management, where they led the product team for the conversational AI product, AVA, and developed its roadmap. In 2018, they founded Acuity.AI, which explores the intersection of Machine Learning and rich media. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Aira Technologies, where they are the Founder and CTO and is using a data-driven approach to make fundamental improvements to Wireless PHY.
RaviKiran Gopalan holds a Sloan Fellow of Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Notre Dame, and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
