Akshay Sharma

Akshay Sharma is a skilled firmware engineer with extensive experience in designing and developing embedded systems. Currently serving as a Principal Firmware Engineer at Acuity Brands since February 2018, Akshay has contributed to innovative connected lighting solutions with the nLight AIR team. Prior roles include Firmware Engineer at Simple Innovations, Inc., where Akshay developed firmware for real-time embedded controls, implemented noise-cancelling algorithms, and designed safety-critical firmware for industrial applications. Earlier experience as an Embedded Design Engineer at Ardent Engineering involved collaboration on biomedical projects focusing on system architecture and PCB design. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
