Alexandra Colchado

Alexandra Colchado has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Alexandra is currently working as a Senior Director of Field Operations at Acuity Eye Group. Prior to that, they held the position of ASC Regional Business Operations Director at NVISION Eye Centers, where they provided leadership and assistance in setting strategy for ambulatory operations. Before that, they worked as an RCM-ASC Billing Manager at American Vision Partners, overseeing department functions and ensuring compliance standards. Alexandra also has experience as an Operations Manager at Hands On EyeCare, where they managed insurance billing and operations for multiple optometry practices. Additionally, they have worked as a Hospital Admitting Clerk at Orange County Global Medical Center and as a Clinical Medical Assistant at Pacific Cardiovascular Associates, Medical Group. Alexandra's earlier career also includes roles as a Practice Administrator/HR Manager and Optician/Billing Specialist at Vision Experts OC, where they handled various responsibilities related to practice management, human resources, and billing.

Alexandra Colchado began their education at Orange Coast College from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained an Associates degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Alexandra later attended Santa Ana College in 2019 and 2020, earning a Medical Assistant Certificate with a focus on Medical/Clinical Assistant. Their educational journey continued at California State University, Fullerton, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Science, specializing in health science with a focus on disease prevention. Alexandra is currently enrolled at California Baptist University and is expected to complete a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Alexandra has acquired various certifications. In 2019, they obtained the Compliance and Fraud Waste and Abuse Training as well as the HIPAA Associate (HIPAAA) certification from Orange County Global Medical Center. In the same year, they also received a Phlebotomy certificate from Santa Ana College. In 2020, Alexandra obtained an ECG/Pharmacology Certificate from SureFire CPR and a Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens certification from Santa Ana College. Furthermore, in 2014, they attended the 3M Immobilization Workshop (Splinting) at Santa Ana College, and in 2020, they obtained a BLS CPR Cert from the American Heart Association.
