Carsten Stendevad

Carsten Stendevad currently serves as President and Chief Investment Officer at Acumen since July 2025 and holds the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at the Danish Refugee Council since 2024. Stendevad is also a Board Member at Vertical Aerospace and a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, both from 2024. Previously, Stendevad contributed as a Board advisor for the Investment Strategies Committee and International Advisory Board at GIC from 2018 to 2025 and held the role of Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer for Sustainable Investing at Bridgewater Associates from 2017 to 2025. Additional experiences include serving as a Board Member for Novo Holdings and the Danish Recovery Fund from 2020 to 2022, as well as being a Board Member at UNICEF Danmark from 2015 to 2017 and CEO of ATP from 2013 to 2016. Stendevad holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Cand Polit in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, along with a Master Diploma in Rhetorics from the same institution.
