Kirsten Nevill-Manning

Kirsten Nevill-Manning is the People Operations Executive at Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT), a community of millions of educators who connect to share, buy and sell original educational resources.

Prior to this, Kirsten was at Facebook, where she was Director of International Human Resources, and responsible for Global Recruiting for two years. She was there from 2008 to end of 2013. She opened all of their Europe, Middle East and Africa (supporting 1,400 employees in 15 locations), Asian (hundreds of employees across 8 locations) and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico and Argentina) offices. In North America, she also opened Austin and Toronto and managed HR for the North American sales teams.

Before Facebook, Kirsten was Google's first Manager of International Staffing, opening offices across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, including New Zealand, Poland, Turkey, China, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Kirsten was based initially in Mountain View, CA and moved to New York City in April 2003. She worked there from 2001-2008.

Kirsten was previously at Stanford University in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, where she worked on a study of group therapy for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Before moving to the US, she was a social worker investigating child abuse and neglect.

A native of New Zealand, she earned a BSc and MSc in Psychology from Canterbury University.

On a personal note, Kirsten has a passion for interior design and architecture, and co-owns Happy Bones NYC, a café at 394 Broome Street.
