William Shrader

William D. Shrader is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer and Cofounder at Acurex Biosciences since April 2024, William previously founded and held the positions of CEO and CSO at AcureX Therapeutics Corporation from January 2020 to July 2024. William D.'s earlier roles include Fellow at BioElectron Technology Corporation, Senior Vice President of Innovation and Vice President of Research and Development at Edison Pharmaceuticals, and Associate Director at Celera Genomics. William began their career as a Group Leader at Arris Pharmaceuticals and a Chemist at Abbott Laboratories. Educationally, William holds a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Bio-organic chemistry from Caltech, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
