Paul Thorley

Paul Thorley, PE, SE, is a structural engineer and the founder of Acute Engineering, Inc., a firm established in 2002 that provides architects, home builders, designers, and developers with engineering excellence, quick turn-around, and reliable results using its ACUTE System for Streamlined Structures. Thorley previously held executive roles including Chief Operating Officer at Authorize.Net (1999–2000), and Vice President of Operations at Infospace (2000–2001) and US Digital Television (2001–2002). Thorley also served as Director of Business Development Technology at Flowserve (1995–1998) and as a Front Office Project Manager there. Thorley earned an AA from Moorpark College (1982–1984) and BS and MS degrees from Brigham Young University, with the BS earned (1984–1990) and the MS in Mechanical Engineering earned (1988–1993).
