Patxi Saez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Patxi started their career as a Nuclear Physics Professor at Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in 1994 and then went on to work as a Project Engineer at Sener in 1995. At Sener, they were involved in projects related to Mechanical Department Power Plants, including Nuclear, Combined Cycles, and Waste-to-Energy.
In 1996, Patxi joined Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems as a Proposal Director, where they were responsible for managing proposals for power systems. Patxi then moved on to Tecnicas Reunidas in 2000, where they worked as a Business Manager until 2007.
From 2007 to 2012, Patxi worked at Isolux Corsán, initially as the Power Generation Director and later as the Deputy Managing Director. In these roles, they contributed to the overall management and execution of power generation projects.
In 2012, Patxi joined Al Toukhi as the President and CEO, leading the company for four years before joining ACWA Power in 2016. At ACWA Power, they held the position of Chief Technical Officer and later became the Sr. Vice President for Technical and Project Execution.

From 1988 to 1994, Patxi Saez pursued an Engineer-Master in Power Engineering degree at the Universidad del Pais Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.
