Rachel Chasela

Rachel Chasela is a legal professional with extensive experience in project finance and various areas of law. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Manager at ACWA Power since November 2023, Rachel previously held associate positions at Covington & Burling LLP and Pinsent Masons. Prior experience includes working at Hogan Lovells in multiple roles, including Associate and Candidate Attorney across various legal specializations. Rachel began a legal career as a Trainee Lawyer at PFI Partnerships and as a Legal Analyst at Herbert Smith Freehills. Additional roles include Senior Tutor at the University of the Witwatersrand, where Rachel shared knowledge in Constitutional law and supported students through a holistic program. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, obtained in 2017.
