Rayan Abdulghani has extensive experience in project management and leadership roles in various companies. They started their career at SABIC in 2006, where they worked as a Project Engineer and later as a Project Manager for several high-profile projects. They handled projects from the initial phases to completion, developed project teams and resources, and implemented project execution strategies and schedules.
In 2018, Rayan joined ACWA Power as the Global Director of HSSE/Crisis Management, where they were responsible for managing health, safety, security, and environmental matters. They later took on the role of VP Corporate HSSE and Crisis Management, where they oversaw crisis management operations. Currently, Rayan holds the position of Vice President for Shared Services and HR Operations at ACWA Power.
In addition to their corporate roles, Rayan Abdulghani is also a Board Member at the Higher Institute for Water and Power Technologies since 2019.
Rayan Abdulghani completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2000 to 2005. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) specializing in Finance, General from the University of Indianapolis. Additionally, they also obtained a Minor Degree in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University during the same period as their bachelor's degree.
