Saad Umer

Saad Umer is an experienced professional in the field of mechanical engineering and business development, currently serving as the Director of Business Development for Renewables at ACWA Power International since November 2012, where responsibilities include business development for large-scale utility projects and optimizing project structuring to enhance NPV. Previously, Saad held the position of Mechanical Engineer at Rabigh Electricity Company, overseeing mechanical erection activities for a 2 x 660 MW Independent Power Project while successfully managing project timelines and ensuring engineering compliance. Prior roles include mechanical engineering positions at ILF Consulting Engineers and internships at Ansaldo Energia and The Hub Power Company Limited. Saad holds a Post Graduate Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
