M.D. Shahjalal Chowdhury

Md Shahjalal Chowdhury is an accomplished transportation engineer currently serving as an Assistant Traffic Operations Engineer at Ada County Highway District since September 2020. Responsibilities include assisting in traffic flow and safety improvements, signal timing design, and coordination for various projects. Previous experience includes roles as a Staff Engineer at STRATA, and a Research Engineer Intern at Oklahoma State University, where laboratory testing of flexible pavement was conducted. Additionally, academic contributions were made as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Boise State University, and as a Graduate Research Assistant investigating the impact of climate change on pavement performance. Earlier experience includes working as an Assistant Structural Engineer at Zephyr Design & Engineering. Chowdhury holds a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
