Daisy Ford-Downes currently serves as the Head of Group Investment Programmes at Firstport, leading the Investment Team focused on innovative financing for social and purpose-led entrepreneurs in Scotland. Daisy's initiatives include the Launch Me programme, the Step Up loan offering, and managing the £15m Catalyst Fund. In addition to this role, Daisy works as a Venture Scout for Ada Ventures, sourcing deals from underrepresented founders. Previous experience includes roles at Foundation Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Deloitte UK, PNE Group, Newcastle University, Tree Appeal, and various internship positions. Daisy holds an ACA qualification in Accounting and Finance, a Master's Degree in Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor's Degree from Durham University in Politics, Philosophy, and English. Further leadership training was completed through the Clore Social Leadership Responsible Finance Leadership Programme.
