Wil Benton

Wil Benton is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. As a cofounder and director at Metta, Benton drives transformative innovation for startups, industries, governments, and ecosystems. In addition to acting as a venture partner at Aerospace Xelerated, Benton serves as a student enterprise advisor at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School and as a scout for Ada Ventures, focusing on groundbreaking ideas in climate, economic empowerment, and healthcare. Benton has also assumed limited partner roles at Carbon13 and The Fund, which focus on climate ventures and supporting local entrepreneurs, respectively. With a commitment to community engagement, Benton hosts radio shows for Radio Buena Vida and Subtle CIC, while also being an active angel investor since 2014, with investments in over 40 startups. As the founder of FatKidOnFire, Benton has built a significant online community since 2010. Educational achievements include degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, along with a BSc in Pharmacology from King's College London.
