Matt Davison

Regional President, Western Idaho at Adams Publishing Company

Matt Davison started his newspaper career with The Bulletin in Bend, Ore., in 1995. After a short stint in circulation, he found himself working as an Advertising Sales Rep with The Bulletin for the next five years. In 2000, Davison was hired as the Retail Advertising Manager for the Mail Tribune in Medford, Ore. Three years later, in 2003, he joined Pioneer News Group as the Advertising Director for the Idaho Press-Tribune in Nampa, Idaho.

In 2006, Davison was promoted within Pioneer News Group to Publisher and President of the Daily Record in Ellensburg, Wash. After almost five years enjoying all that Ellensburg had to offer Davison was relocated by Pioneer back to Nampa to take over as Publisher & President of the Idaho Press-Tribune, the Meridian Press, the Emmett Messenger-Index and the Kuna Melba News. The Idaho Press-Tribune and its weekly publications are distributed to a combined total of 60,000 households per week. Adams Publishing Group purchased the Idaho Press-Tribune as part of its acquisition of Pioneer News Group in November 2017.

Davison also held a corporate position with Pioneer News Group as the Director of Interactive Media for eight years. In this position he was responsible for developing digital strategies to keep Pioneer News Group up to speed with the rapidly changing landscape of digital media. He served in this position while continuing to serve as Publisher and President of the Idaho Press-Tribune.

In addition to his day job, Davison has served in various roles on community and professional boards. He is currently a board member of the Nampa Boys & Girls Club, Page Co-op and the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce. Davison is a past-president of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce, the Central Oregon Advertising Federation and the KVCH Hospital Foundation.

Davison is a graduate of Western Oregon University with a degree in Communications.
