Simon Aldrich has worked in the software engineering industry since 1998. Simon began their career as a Programme Office Clerk at Electronic Data Systems. Simon then went on to work as a Technical Computing Support Clerk at British Energy, where they also gained experience in developing software using the Windows NT Security APIs in Microsoft Visual C++. From 1999 to 2002, Simon worked as a Research Associate at the University of the West of England, where they developed a Linux daemon to allow remote control of a CCTV dome camera via the network, and wrote a Windows Service to allow remote control and tasking of remotely located MPEG2 encoding hardware. In 2003, Simon became a Java Software Engineer at The Halvor Partnership, where they worked mainly on the Teamworks work-planning product. From 2005 to 2018, Simon worked at Nokia as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on the One-NDS and SDL RTDB projects. Most recently, Simon has been a Senior Software Developer at Edge Intelligence since 2018, and a Senior Software Engineer at ADAPDIX since 2021.

Simon Aldrich attended the University of Bristol from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
