Albert Borrego, Jr. is a seasoned cybersecurity and cyber defense operations leader with over 20 years of experience overseeing SOC operations, incident response, and threat detection across various sectors, including the DoD and global enterprises. They have held multiple leadership roles, culminating in their current position as CSSP Operations Watch Battle Captain at Adapt Forward. Albert's expertise includes security automation, MITRE ATT&CK-aligned threat hunting, and enhancing response processes through structured methodologies and SOAR-enabled automation. Having retired from a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, they are recognized for their disciplined, mission-focused approach in aligning people, processes, and technology for effective security operations. Albert holds a Doctor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems from Liberty University.
