Grant J Palmer has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and business development. Grant J started their career as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Oregon, where they mentored students and managed chemical inventory. Grant J then worked at AMRI as a Senior Research Chemist and later as the Manager of Business Development, where they acquired and managed accounts, prepared cost estimates, and developed chemical processes. After that, they joined Jefferies & Company as an MBA Intern in Equity Research, focusing on healthcare companies. At M*Modal, they served as the Director of Finance in Investor Relations, where they constructed models, prepared press releases, and established a database for financial comparisons. At Merck, they held two roles as an Associate Director in Finance, handling budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for different research divisions. Currently, they work at Adaptimmune US as the Director of Business Finance.
Grant J Palmer completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from The University of the South between 1991 and 1996. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry, specializing in Organic Synthesis, from the University of Kentucky, graduating in 2001. Later on, they attended Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management from 2009 to 2011, earning their MBA with a focus on Health Care and Finance.
