Emily Silgard

Emily Silgard serves as a Senior ML/AI Software Architect Manager at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. since February 2021. Prior to this, Emily held multiple positions at Fred Hutch from September 2012 to June 2020, including Data Science Manager, where leadership of the data science team and the design of a natural language processing pipeline were key responsibilities. Other roles at Fred Hutch included Data Scientist II and Natural Language Processing Engineer, focusing on cohort identification and classification of clinical documents. Additional experience includes consultancy work at the National Cancer Institute on NLP/ML projects and lecturing on natural language processing for cancer informatics at the University of Washington. Emily holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an M.S. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington.
