Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh Gutierrez

Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh Gutierrez has a diverse work experience in the field of bioengineering and biotechnology. Daniel is a co-founder of Adaptyv Biosystems, a company established in 2020. Prior to that, they gained experience at Harvard University as a Master Thesis student, focusing on the development of tolerogenic vaccines for autoimmune disease treatment. Daniel also interned at AlveoliX, where they worked on the establishment of a lung-on-chip platform for drug development. At EPFL, they collaborated with the Programable Biomaterial Laboratory and the Laboratory of Biomaterials for Immunoengineering. Additionally, they served as a logistic manager and researcher for the EPFL 2018 iGEM Competition, working on cancer immunotherapy. Daniel also worked at the Laboratory of Computational Systems Biotechnology at EPFL and was a delegate for the Bioengineering Master Course. Daniel was a steering committee member at the Healthcare Technologies Co-operate Foundation and gained research experience as an intern at KAIST and the University of Leeds, focusing on wearable electronics and soft robotics, respectively.

Daniel Nakhaee-Zadeh Gutierrez completed their high school education at I.E.S Ramiro de Maeztu, where they obtained a Spanish Titulo de Bachilllerato and International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma in June 2014. Daniel then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the University of Leeds from 2014 to 2018. After that, they furthered their education and earned a Master's degree in Bioengineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2017 and 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma from The International Baccalaureate in June 2014.
