Rocío Pillado is a Partner at Adara Ventures. Rocío has over 10 years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on software development and project management. Rocío has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires. Rocío has worked on various projects for different business lines at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking - SGCIB, including Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income sales & trading desks. Rocío led a project to handle mid/low frequency trading strategies, increasing trading frequency and daily trading volume while decreasing operational risk. Rocío also implemented processes in accordance with compliance standards to manage cash flow pricing, statistics and deals for sales in structured financial notes. In addition, Rocío automated and improved trade reporting for non-electronic trades on listed options and stocks, preventing rule violations, reporting failures and manual errors. Rocío also secured trading applications to prevent trading loss incidents due to rogue traders by redefining and implementing a new authentication architecture. Prior to joining Adara Ventures, Rocío worked as a Research and Software Development Engineer at Trusted Logic.
Rocío Pillado has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Finance, Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Rocío also has two engineering degrees, one in Computer Science and Mathematics from the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble and one in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
