Pernille Barkholt

Pernille Barkholt has over 15 years of work experience. From 2022 to present, they have been a Lead Scientist and IHC specialist at Adcendo. From 2012 to 2022, they were a Principal Scientist and Histology & Imaging expert at Gubra, as well as a Senior Research Scientist, Histology & Imaging expert, and a Research Scientist, Histology & Stereology expert, where they were responsible for planning and execution of histological studies primarily within neurodegenerative diseases, and the development and optimization of immunohstochemical and stereological protocols. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Research Associate and Student Instructor at Aarhus University. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Laboratory Assistant at Borean Pharma, where they were responsible for the preparation of buffer, media and other odd jobs.

Pernille Barkholt has a diverse education history. Pernille earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience and Pharmacology from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 2013 and 2016. In 2015, they were a Visiting PhD student at the University of Michigan. Between 2005 and 2010, they earned their cand.scient in Medicinal Chemistry from Aarhus University. In 2008, they were an Exchange Student at McGill University in Neuroscience.
