Sofia Åkerlund

Sofia Åkerlund has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Sofia is currently working as the Editor in Chief of Praktisk Medicin at Add Health Media AB since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an ST-läkare (resident doctor) in dermatology at Region Jönköpings län from April 2019 to February 2021. Before that, they gained further experience as an AT-läkare (intern doctor) at the same company from March 2017 to March 2019. Sofia also worked as an Underläkare (junior doctor) at Stockholms läns sjukvårdsområde - SLSO in 2016.

Sofia Åkerlund began their education in 2009 at Karolinska Institutet, where they studied psychology. Sofia pursued this field of study until 2010. In 2011, they enrolled at Karolinska Institutet again, this time to pursue a Medical degree. Sofia successfully completed their medical studies in 2017, earning the degree of Läkarexamen. Additionally, Sofia Åkerlund took a research opportunity at Duke University from 2014 to 2015, focusing on physiology.
