Katie Kernahan

Katie Kernahan has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Katie began their career in 2008 as a Marketing Manager at Vacuflo Built-in Central Vacuum Systems. In 2010, they worked as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator at St. Joseph Communications. Katie then joined Edelman in the same year, where they held multiple roles including Intern, Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, and Account Manager.

In 2015, Katie moved to BuildDirect Technologies and served as the Manager of PR & Communications. Katie later became the Director of Marketing & Communications, leading a team responsible for various marketing activities across North America. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant at BuildDirect Technologies.

Katie also has experience at S2K Strategies, where they worked as a Principal, providing fractional marketing and communications leadership to tech startups.

Katie'smost recent role was at addy, where they joined as a Consultant in 2018 before being promoted to VP Marketing & Communications. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operations at addy, working towards making real estate investing accessible to everyone regardless of income or age.

Katie Kernahan's education history includes various degrees and certificates. In 2003 to 2008, they attended the University of Victoria, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology. Later, in 2009 to 2010, they pursued a Certificate in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Toronto. In 2018, they attended Harvard Business School and completed a Certificate program in Corporate Finance. During the same year, they also obtained a Certificate in Product Management from BrainStation. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
