Mike Stopka has a diverse work experience in the field of sustainability and environmental consulting. Mike'smost recent position was as the Vice President, Impact at ADEC Innovations, where they oversaw the ESG practice and supported the company's mergers and acquisitions efforts. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal, ESG & Sustainability Consulting at Buro Happold, guiding the ESG & sustainability strategy consulting practice. Mike also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern University and Loyola University Chicago, teaching sustainability-related courses. Mike was the Founder & CEO of MIST Environment, a strategy & education firm focused on fostering sustainability culture. Mike has also held leadership roles at The University of Chicago and SCB, where they founded sustainability business units and led various sustainability projects. Additionally, Mike has experience in project management and architecture.

Mike Stopka holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they earned from 1995 to 2000. Mike also completed a Master of Design & Environmental Studies at Clemson University from 2003 to 2005. In addition, they participated in the Executive Program for Emerging Leaders at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2015-2016.
