Ning Xu is a Senior Fellow and VP of Advanced R&D, currently leading innovations in computer vision, machine learning, and video technologies at Adeia. They have previously held prominent roles, including Principal Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they contributed to the Just Walk Out technology for retail, and Chief Scientist of Video Algorithms at Kuaishou Technology, driving advancements for one of the world's largest short-video platforms. With a strong background in image and video processing from institutions like Dolby Laboratories and Snap Inc., Ning also founded a private foundation focused on making education and innovation accessible to all. Currently, they are pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
