David Lloyd

David Lloyd currently serves as Co-Vice Chancellor at Adelaide University since March 2024 and has held the position of Vice-Chancellor & President at the University of South Australia since January 2013. Additionally, David Lloyd has demonstrated leadership in various roles, including Chair and Deputy Chair at Universities Australia from July 2017 to May 2025, Chair of the Committee for Adelaide from August 2019 to April 2023, and member of the Board of Advisors for the Australian Research Council from July 2018 to June 2022. Other notable positions include Chair at the Australian Technology Network from February 2015 to January 2017, Chairman at the Irish Research Council in 2012, and Bursar & Director of Strategic Innovation along with roles as Dean and Vice President of Research at Trinity College Dublin from July 2005 to December 2012. David Lloyd began a career in research as a Senior Scientist at De Novo Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2004.
