McKenzie R. Ballou, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. McKenzie R. started their career as a Market Research Intern at FGI Research in 1999 and then worked as a Market Research Intern at Aragon Consulting Group in 2000. In 2005, they became a Freelance Computer Programmer/Consultant. McKenzie R. then worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis from 2008 to 2009.

McKenzie R. Ballou, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Cognitive Science and Psychology, respectively, from Indiana University Bloomington in the years 1997 to 2001. McKenzie R. then went on to pursue their higher education at Washington University in St. Louis, where they obtained their Master of Arts and Ph.D. degrees in Experimental Psychology from 2001 to 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, McKenzie also obtained a SAS Programming 1: Programming Essentials certification from SAS in April 2011.
