Walter Kahlenborn serves as the Managing Director at adelphi in Berlin since July 2001, leading projects and managing the company. Previously, Kahlenborn held the position of Director at Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen e.V. from September 2004 to December 2008 and worked as a Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute from January 1996 to June 2001, where responsibilities included team leadership and consultancy in sustainable development and urban environmental policy. Kahlenborn also gained experience as a Research Fellow, focusing on European environmental policy, water management, and sustainable financing, and served as Project Manager at Berlin Social Science Center - WZB, where Kahlenborn analyzed Berlin's economic situation and developed future scenarios. Educational qualifications include a Magister Artium in History and Philosophy from Freie Universität Berlin, a Diplom in Engineering/Industrial Management from Technische Universität Berlin, and studies at Tulane University and Università di Bologna.
