Qi Tang

Qi Tang, CPA, CA, CFA, ICD.D has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Starting in 1997, Qi Tang worked as an Associate Director/Senior Consultant at KPMG Corporate Finance, where they advised clients on various financial matters such as deal due diligence, valuation, and complex financial modeling. Qi Tang then joined Waterfront Toronto as a Director of Planning and Funding in 2003, where they developed long-term strategic plans, managed funding agreements, and evaluated land and housing development projects.

In 2005, Qi Tang joined Chartwell Seniors Housing REIT as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Forecasting. Then, from 2009 to 2015, Qi Tang served as the Chief Financial Officer of Symphony Senior Living Inc.

In 2015, Qi Tang became the VP of Finance & Accounting at Dream Global REIT before moving to RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust in 2016. While at RioCan, Qi Tang held various roles, including Senior Vice President of Finance, Acting Chief Financial Officer, and ultimately Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President until May 2021.

In 2021, Qi Tang joined Dream Office Real Estate Investment Trust as a Corporate Director and Chair of the Audit Committee. In 2022, they took on a Corporate Director role at ADENTRA Group and Chief Financial Officer at Skyservice Investments Inc. Currently, as of 2023, Qi Tang holds the position of Corporate Director at Choice Properties.

Qi Tang, CPA, CA, CFA, ICD.D holds a Ph.D and MBA courses in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and related courses from the Wisconsin School of Business, completed between 1995 and 1996. Prior to that, Tang earned a Master of Science of Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan from 1993 to 1995. Tang's undergraduate education includes a B. Economics degree with a specialization in Western Accounting from the Central University of Finance and Economics, completed between 1989 and 1993.
