Julio Melendez

Julio Melendez is an accomplished Rig Manager with extensive experience in offshore operations management. Currently serving as Rig Manager for ADES - Advanced Energy Systems since October 2022, Julio manages operations for two Jack-up units while focusing on safety, performance, and efficiency improvements. Previously, Julio worked at NT Rig Holdco Pte. Ltd, where responsibilities included supporting operations management and executing projects assigned by the Chief Operations Officer. As Drilling and Well Intervention Manager for JV Petrodelta SA – PDVSA, Julio oversaw the drilling department's operational budget and long-term projects aimed at enhancing field performance. Experience also includes roles such as Assistant Rig Manager at Maersk Drilling and Rig Superintendent on various Jack-up units. Julio holds a degree in Mechanical Maintenance from Universidad Rafael Maria Baralt, attained from 1990 to 1995.
