Rainer Hiss

Rainer Hiss has significant experience in various roles within the IT industry. Rainer currently holds the position of Head of Managed Services at adesso Schweiz AG. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Trivadis - Part of Accenture from 2015 to 2023. Before that, they served as a Leiter Informatik-Steuerung und -Organisation at Kanton Basel Stadt for a brief period in 2014. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Solution Unit Manager Application Development at Trivadis - Part of Accenture. Rainer also held the position of Head of Business Engineering at Baloise Insurance from 2010 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Managing Director at Sirius Technologies AG from 2004 to 2010, as well as in various managerial positions at KCS.Net, Systor AG, UBS, and AAA*SIM.

Rainer Hiss has an extensive education history in the field of physics. Rainer first attended Faust Gymnasium Staufen from 1976 to 1985, where they received their Abitur degree with a focus on physics and mathematics. Later, they pursued their undergraduate studies at The University of Freiburg from 1987 to 1993, earning a Dipl. Phys. degree. Continuing their academic journey, Rainer obtained a PhD in Physics from The University of Freiburg between 1993 and 1996.
