Sonam Samkang

Sonam Samkang has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2007, they started their career at AWD Schweiz AG as a Finanzberater, and later worked at MZ Schweiz AG in the same role. In 2009, Sonam became the Head of IT at Paul Nef Services while also working as a Finanzberater at MZ Schweiz AG. From 2011 to 2015, Sonam worked as an IT Consultant at Accenture. In 2015, they joined Cembra Money Bank AG as an IT Test Manager. Sonam also worked at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd as a Program Test Manager for a brief period in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, Sonam worked at bbv Software Services AG, first as a Testmanager and then as a Senior Test Manager. Their most recent role is as the Head of Testing Financial Services at adesso Schweiz AG since December 2020.

Sonam Samkang has a diverse education history that spans several years and covers various fields of study. In 1997, they attended TBZ Technische Berufsschule Zürich and obtained a degree in Eidg. Dipl. Vermessungszeichner (Geomatiker) along with a Berufsmaturitätsabschluss (BMS). In 2002, Sonam achieved the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge.

Continuing their educational journey, Sonam completed several certifications in different areas. Sonam obtained the ISTQB Foundation Level certification from ISQI in 2013, along with the ITIL v3 Foundation Level certification from Serview. Later in 2014, they earned the ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Analyst certification from ISQI, as well as the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from Serview. In 2015, Sonam obtained the ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Manager certification from ISQI.

In 2016, Sonam attended the Scrum Alliance and became a Certified ScrumMaster. The following year, they received the Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the same organization. Additionally, in 2017, Sonam furthered their knowledge by obtaining the SAFe Agilist certification from bbv Academy.

In 2018, Sonam obtained two certifications, including the Neotys Certified Expert for Neoload from Neotys and the ISTQB Agile Tester certification from ISQI. Finally, their formal education was completed in 2010, when they received their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Informatik from HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil.
