Iker Martinez de Apellaniz

Iker Martinez de Apellaniz has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and architecture. Iker is currently employed at Adevinta as a Principal Data Architect, responsible for overseeing data-related projects. Prior to this, they worked at Schibsted Media Group as a Staff Data Engineer for four years. Before that, they were a Big Data Team Lead at GFT, managing a team specialized in BigData ETL applications for finance and investment banking. Iker also worked as a Developer at Emagister.com, specializing in search engine and backend processes. Iker started their career as an Analyst-Developer at EQT, where they developed web applications for banking and pig farms. Iker also has experience working as a Senior Developer at EDS, where they developed Java applications and integrated them with Siebel. Additionally, Iker gained some initial experience as an intern at Feedback Networks.

Iker Martinez de Apellaniz obtained a Licenciatura en Informatica degree from EHU-UPV and a Ingeniero en Informatica degree from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. Iker also holds a certification as a Java Developer from Sun Microsystems.
