Peter Munnings

Peter Munnings has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter'smost recent position was at Adhara, where they served as a Co-Founder and COO starting from July 2018. Prior to that, they worked at ConsenSys as a Distributed Engineer from March 2017 to June 2018, focusing on ConsenSys Enterprise projects such as Project Ubin at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Before their involvement in blockchain technology, Peter Munnings was a Blockchain Technical Lead at FirstRand Bank Ltd. Peter had various development roles within the banking group, with a particular focus on leading the internal blockchain capability development and investigating suitable use cases. Peter held this role from May 2015 to February 2017.

Peter Munnings' career started at Eskom, where they worked as a Senior Engineer from 1993 to 1998. Peter then transitioned to Torque-IT, where they served as a Branch Manager of a Microsoft Technical Education Centre. Peter'sresponsibilities included managing staff and overseeing sales. After that, they worked at NewSolutions Consultants (Pty) Ltd as a Director, developing and implementing software for various engineering and integration projects.

In 2005, Peter Munnings and their wife founded Sandton City Church, taking on the role of Pastor. Peter led the church in its initial years before handing over leadership. Peter remains involved in the church, which has grown and made an impact in various areas in South Africa and beyond.

Earlier in their career, Peter Munnings worked at Multichoice as a Senior Developer and at Synerics as a Solution Architect, where they designed and developed software for the life insurance industry.

Peter Munnings attended Port Shepstone High School from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained their Matric degree. Following high school, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, Peter has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1999, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional. Peter then achieved the Microsoft Certified Application Developer certification in 2002, followed by the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer certification in 2003. In 2015, Peter acquired two certifications from the South African Institute of Financial Markets: SAIFM Registered Person (Money Markets) in September and SAIFM Registered Person (Bonds) in February.
