Tonya Capillo

Tonya Capillo has a diverse work experience in the field of biological research. Tonya currently works as a Senior Research Associate at Adicet Bio, Inc since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Associate at Hengenix Biotech, Inc from August 2020 to December 2021.

Before entering industry, Tonya gained research experience at the University of California, Santa Cruz. From September 2018 to June 2020, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Pourmand Research Group, where they contributed to academic research on SNPs and their linkage disequilibrium patterns using Haploview. During their time there, they also worked as a Grader from September 2019 to March 2020, and as a Mentor in the Science Intern Program from July 2019 to September 2019. In their mentoring role, they guided high school interns in their academic research, helped them understand basic laboratory techniques, and provided materials to enhance their learning experience.
