Sara Novotny

Sara Novotny is an experienced professional in biomechanics and sports science, currently serving as Manager of Product Testing and Manager of Athlete Science for US Cleated at adidas. In this role, Sara drives research and provides biomechanical insights for footwear innovation projects focused on speed and agility. Previously, Sara held the position of Research Engineer in the Human Performance Lab at DESCENTE KOREA, leading the technical direction for athletic performance footwear development. Sara's career also includes a significant tenure at Nike as a Biomechanics Researcher, where various studies were designed to advance running, basketball, and training footwear. Early in the career, Sara was a Research Scientist/Engineer at the University of Washington, managing a NASA-funded study on exercise countermeasures for bone demineralization. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in Kinesiology (Biomechanics) from Arizona State University.
