Thomas Murphy

Thomas Murphy has extensive work experience in the design industry, particularly in the sports and footwear sectors. Thomas began their career as a product design intern at Diedre Design in 2001. Thomas then worked as an accessories designer at Decathlon and Reebok in 2002. In 2003, they became a footwear designer at Salomon. Thomas joined Le Coq Sportif in 2004 as a footwear designer before transitioning to Adidas Group in 2005. At Adidas, they held roles as an accessories designer and a footwear designer on the Innovation Team, where they worked on projects such as weightlifting outsoles and running ground control systems. In 2006, they joined Puma AG as a senior footwear designer focusing on football and teamsports. Thomas also took on the role of SMU designer during their time at Puma. In 2014, they joined Lacoste as a senior designer and worked there until 2018 when they joined Adidas again as a senior designer. In 2019, they were promoted to design director at Adidas, and in 2021, they took on the role of senior design director, where they lead two design teams across multiple factories in Southeast Asia, handling the entire development process for sportswear.
