Steve Lane

Steve Lane is a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Currently employed at Adient Aerospace since May 2021, Steve specializes in the design and development of business class aircraft seating for major clients like Boeing and Airbus. Previous roles include Design Consultant positions at Thornback Design Ltd and SML Design Ltd, focusing on aerospace design activities, including projects related to the A350 and A400M aircraft. Prior to that, Steve served as a Design Engineer at Contour Aerospace Seating, where designs for first and business class seating were developed for clients such as Lufthansa and Air China. Early career experience includes senior mechanical design roles at AB Automotive Electronics Ltd and Textron Automotive, with a focus on automotive climate control systems and wash systems. Steve holds an HNC in Mechanical Engineering from Gwent College of Higher Education.
