Jim Conklin

Jim Conklin is executive vice president, Americas for Adient. Conklin has been with Adient in various roles of increasing responsibility since October 2000, most recently serving as Adient’s vice president, North Americas operations.

Prior to Adient’s spinoff from Johnson Controls, Conklin was vice president of Operations for Johnson Controls as well as executive director, Continuous Improvement & Best Business Practices and director, Advanced Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, Operations and Quality.

Conklin’s industry experiences also include serving as plant general manager for Avanzar Interior Technologies and manufacturing engineering at Johnson Controls, Lear Corporation and United Technologies.

Conklin earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operational Engineering from The University of Michigan.

He is a sponsor and donor of C.S Mott Children’s Hospital and The United Way. Conklin was recognized as an Automotive News Rising Star in 2017.
