Olivia Scheideler

Scientist II at Adimab

Olivia Scheideler has a diverse work experience. Olivia began their career in 2004 as a Math and Reading Mentor at Kumon Math and Reading Center, where they taught math, ranging from fractions to calculus, to children between the ages of three to 18. In 2010, they were a Research Intern at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2011, they were a Summer Research Intern at the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, where they conducted research for Dr. Kaushal Rege in ASU's Chemical Engineering Department and fabricated and characterized novel poly(amino ether) capped gold nanoparticles for transgender delivery. In 2012, they were an International Undergraduate Summer Research Intern at the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) iREU, where they conducted research for Dr. Nakanishi-Sensei and Dr. Nagasaki-Sensei at Japan's National Institute for Materials Science. Olivia was also an Undergraduate Researcher for Dr. Srivatsan Kidambi at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they employed soft lithography techniques (with a focus on capillary force lithography and polyelectrolyte multilayers) as microscale tools for fabricating tissue engineering in vitro models of the brain, liver, and early-stage breast cancer. In 2013, they were a Bioengineering Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley - UC San Francisco Joint Bioengineering Graduate Group, where they developed new engineering strategies for studying and dissecting the key molecular signals that instruct adult neural stem cell fate decisions. In 2018, they were an Antibody Engineering Summer Intern in Genentech's Early Research & Development Division. In 2019, they were a Post-Doctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. Most recently, in 2020, they were a Scientist I and Scientist II at Adimab, LLC.

Olivia Scheideler earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering from the Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco between 2013 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Systems Engineering Major with Minors in Computer Science and Business Administrations from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 2009 and 2013.
