Dionisio Tafoya

Dionisio Tafoya has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dionisio is currently serving as the Chair of Professional Development and a Board Member for the Art Directors Guild. In addition, they are also a Founding Board Member and Vice President for the Alliance of Entertainment Designers & Artists. Dionisio is the Founder and Executive Director of Positive Shift Alliance.

Prior to these roles, Dionisio was a Partner and Creative Director at Dionysus Creative, L.L.C., where they were responsible for business development, team leadership, project management, client relationships, and website management. Dionisio also held the position of Union Delegate at the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800.

In terms of their technical experience, Dionisio has worked as a Scenic Paint Lead at Adirondack Studios, a Scenic Artist at CBS Television Studios, and a Set Dec Scenic and Set Dresser at Sony Pictures Entertainment (Better Call Saul, Season 3). Dionisio has also worked on the production of Wolverine (aka Logan) at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where they served as a Scenic Artist and On Set Scenic. Additionally, Dionisio has experience as a Lead Scenic Artist at An Ideal Home Productions LLC.

Dionisio Tafoya has a diverse education history. Dionisio attended Paul Quinn College from 2022 to 2023, focusing on Business Finance with a specific interest in philanthropy. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance from Eastern Gateway Community College, completing their studies from 2019 to 2021. In 2001, they attended Citrus College, with a focus on Art and Theater. Their academic journey began at Damien High School from 1990 to 1993, where they received a General Education diploma with a field of study in Art and Architectural Design. Additionally, Dionisio has obtained several certifications, including identifying entrepreneurial opportunities at the University System of Maryland in 2019, and a certificate for inclusive leadership training from Catalyst Inc. in 2016. Dionisio also holds certifications in film industry safety training and digital branding and engagement, among others.
