David Gomelauri

David Gomelauri has a diverse work experience in the fields of governance, risk management, compliance, and information security. David is currently working as the Governance, Risk management & Compliance Lead at adjarabet.com. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Information Security Specialist at the National Bank of Georgia from October 2018 to December 2021. David has also worked as a Lecturer of Information Security at the International Black Sea University (IBSU) in various periods, including February to June 2019, February to June 2017, and September 2012 to July 2013.

In addition, David has held several positions at Georgian Card JSC, including Senior IT Compliance Specialist from January to September 2018, Senior IT Security Officer from September 2016 to January 2018, and IT Security Officer from November 2012 to August 2016. David also briefly served as a System Administrator at Georgian Card JSC from May to October 2012.

Furthermore, David has worked as a Lecturer of Information Security at the Georgian Technical University from September 2012 to July 2013 and at Caucasus University from March to June 2013. David has also gained experience as a Support Team Leader and Network Analyst at Open Revolution Georgia MobiPay from January to April 2012 and from February 2011 to December 2011, respectively.

Earlier in their career, David served as a Microsoft Server 2008 Lecturer and Cisco IT Essential Curriculum Lead at the Information Technologies Vocational Education and Training Centre from November 2007 to February 2011. Additionally, they worked as an Instructor of Network Fundamentals and Laboratory Manager at the Georgian Technical University from September 2006 to August 2007.

David Gomelauri completed their Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Management Systems at Georgian Technical University from 2004 to 2008. David then pursued a Master's degree in Information Security at the same institution, graduating in 2010. Continuing their academic journey, Gomelauri obtained a PhD of Science in Information Security from Georgian Technical University, completing their studies in 2014.
