Bilal Hassan

Bilal Hassan's work experience begins in 2017 when they worked as an API Tutor at LaGuardia Community College. In 2018, they became a College Tutor at CUNY Accelerated Studies in Associate Programs. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as an IT Support Analyst at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York. Their next role was as an IT Support Analyst - Trade Floor Operations Support at Bank of America from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of a Cyber Security Analyst at Human API, where they performed security assessments, conducted internal vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and oversaw incident response. Currently, in 2022, they are employed as a Security Engineer at adMarketplace.

Bilal Hassan's education history includes various degrees and certifications. Bilal obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from Western Governors University in 2021. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science from LaGuardia Community College in 2018.

Bilal also pursued additional certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Bilal obtained certifications such as CompTIA Project+ (April 2021), Associate of (ISC)² (November 2020), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from Cybrary (July 2020), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from Cybrary (June 2020), and ITIL® 4 Foundation CPD from AXELOS Global Best Practice (June 2020). Bilal also gained knowledge in areas like digital forensics through the Autopsy Basics and Hands On certification (May 2020), and networking through Understanding of Cisco Network Devices (February 2020) and Mobility and Devices Fundamentals (July 2019) from Cisco.

Bilal further expanded their expertise by completing the National Cyber Training Program in Penetration Testing & Secure Coding in 2021. Additionally, they attended NPower in 2022 to acquire knowledge in Cloud Computing, specifically Amazon Web Services.

Looking ahead, Bilal plans to obtain the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification in 2023 to strengthen their cloud computing skills.
