Kayla Askey, PharmD, BCPS

Kayla Askey, PharmD, BCPS, has a diverse work experience in the pharmacy field. Kayla started their career as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart in 2015 and worked there until 2018. During this time, they gained valuable hands-on experience in the field. In 2018, they also worked as a Summer Intern at Geisinger.

In 2018, Kayla joined the UPenn Ryan Veterinary Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician and worked there until 2020. Kayla then completed a Pharmacy Residency at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center from June 2020 to June 2021.

From June 2021 to March 2022, Kayla worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at NOVANT HEALTH HUNTERSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER. Following this, they joined Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System as an Oncology Infusion Pharmacist, where they worked from March 2022 to July 2023.

Currently, they are working as a Medical Writer at AdMed, Inc., starting from July 2023. With their extensive experience and expertise, Kayla has built a strong foundation in the pharmacy field.

Kayla Askey, PharmD, BCPS completed their education at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Kayla first obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Studies from 2014 to 2018. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Pharmacy - PharmD degree from 2014 to 2020. During their education, they also obtained additional certifications including Pharmacy Intern from the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy in August 2016 and Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association in January 2017.
