Ayman Bahnasawy

Vice President, HSE Adnoc Drilling at ADNOC Group

Ayman Bahnasawy has an extensive work history, starting as a Police Officer at Suez Police Station in 1999. Ayman then worked as a Police Investigator and later became the Chief of the Police Investigation Department at the Egyptian Ministry of Interior. During their time there, they uncovered and arrested members of a major organized crime racket and received recognition from the Interior Minister of Egypt.

After leaving the Ministry of Interior in 2004, Bahnasawy joined DP World as the Safety and Security Head, where they led a team dealing with security, safety, fire fighting, and control room operations. Ayman conducted a thorough review of HSSE processes at port facilities and successfully resolved a work stoppage by over 1,500 workers.

In 2008, Bahnasawy joined Dana Petroleum Limited as the MEA Regional HSSE Manager and later became the Group HSSE Advisor. Ayman'sresponsibilities included managing the HSSE organization in Egypt and overseeing HSSE in Africa and International exploration units. Ayman was a member of the HSSE functional leadership and Corporate HSSE audit team.

Following their time at Dana Petroleum, Bahnasawy worked at Baker Hughes as the Sr. HSE Manager for the North Arabian GeoMarket and later as the North Gulf & Turkey Geo-Market HSE Manager. Ayman managed operations in several countries, including Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Turkey. Ayman was responsible for managing key clients and implementing programs to reduce HSE risks.

In 2016, Bahnasawy joined Maersk Drilling as the QM-HSSE Manager, where they oversaw the HSE aspects of onshore and offshore rigs across multiple countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Gabon, Libya, and Syria. Ayman directed QM-HSSE operations and led a team of 45+.

Most recently, Bahnasawy has been working at ADNOC Group as the Vice President, HSE ADNOC Drilling. In this role, they have been directing HSE initiatives and sustainability programs, managing a major fleet of land, jack-up, and island rigs. Ayman is a member of the executive management team and reports directly to the CEO.

Ayman Bahnasawy obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law and a diploma in police science from 1995 to 1999. In 2006, they completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Facility & Vessel Safety & Security (ISPS, PFSO & CSO) from the New York Merchant Marine Academy. In 2010, they received a NEBOSH International Diploma in NEBOSH. In 2013, they completed the TapRooT® Advanced Root Cause Analysis Team Leader program. Additionally, Ayman Bahnasawy has received training in counter-terrorism from the United States Diplomatic Security Services and crises management from the United States Non-Profiliration Center in 2003. Furthermore, they have obtained qualifications in BOSIET & MIST from OPITO and OSHA training from The American University in Cairo.
